Almond produce gets ready in the spring, Lotus crops during summers, saffron with its herbal punch comes about in autumn, and it’s pure snow covered forests during the winters. Situated in the valley of Kashmir, this city has expanded on both banks of the Jhelum River. Srinagar, which is the summer hangout of Jammu and Kashmir, is located in the western part of this northern state. The city has nine bridges that connect the two banks. The local economy is based on handicrafts, woolen clothing, shawls and wooden artifacts. The retail markets of Srinagar cater to the locals but focus more on the tourists. Wheat and paddy crop is grown to meet the local demand. Apple orchards are an important source of revenue as their demand remains high in the other regions.
