Kingfisher Airlines started its operations on May 9th, 2005 and they began by leasing four Airbus 320 flights. Today they own over 42 flights and fly to over 37 destinations. Kingfisher Airlines Limited is headquartered in Bangalore, India even though they have bases of operation spread over all the International airports in India. The chairman and CEO of Kingfisher Airlines is Vijay Mallya. The fleet operates around 218 flights a day and as a first they are all new flights that are an integral part of their fleet. The Destinations that Kingfisher flies from are Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi. Starting August 2008, they plan to expand into international space and will offer travel to the United States nonstop from India.
