"Kozhikode or Calicut (Kozhikode) (Kozhikode), the gateway to Kerala, is a prosperous and thriving destination packed with tourist attractions. Sun kissed beaches, verdant jungles, intoxicating spice gardens, revered temples and a rich historic legacy all characterize Calicut (Kozhikode)."
Calicut (Kozhikode) or Kozhikode is historically known for welcoming Vasco da Gama, way back in 1498 AD. Amongst its myriad charms, it has a couple of other attractive crowd pullers like the Dolphin's Point and the Kozhikode Beach. As the name suggests, Dolphin's Point is the place to watch frolicking dolphins. Similarly, the Kozhikode Beach is another terrific spot with its ruined old piers, lighthouse, Lion's Park and Marine Water Aquarium.
