Badshah Chowk is the place from where you can buy the world famous Kashmiricarpets. Various carpets with intricate patterns and designs are sold here at reasonable prices. The Chowk is filled with shops selling pashminas shawls and a wide variety of embroidered clothes including Indian salwar suits. The best part is that you can even place an order for carpets here.
Polo View Market
This is the best place to head out to buy some exciting souvenirs for yourself and your loved ones. Polo View Market is the place is laden with shops selling pashminas, items like Jamawars, wooden jewelry boxes and walnut carved items. Also wide range of papier-mâché products of various sizes, colors and forms like show pieces, statues, vases and Christmas decorations are found here.
There is also the Floating Market in the Dal Lake that mostly sells fresh vegetables in the region and also flowers.
