Here a few things you need to know before you travel to places.

1. Greece: Stay grounded

It’s illegal to wear high heels while touring in Greece, reason being, the authorities want to protect their buildings and monuments from damage. And high heels might leave their mark behind.

2. Saudi Arabia: The lady luck is just not enough

Ladies, if you are under 30, make sure you are accompanied by a male guardian. Also, both men and women can only travel together in Saudi Arabia if they are married.

3. San Francisco: Pigeon feeding

Do not feed pigeons in San Francisco or else you will have to pay a heavy fine. And in case you find someone feeding them, do report to the city’s police department as the city blames the birds for damaging the monuments.

4. Beijing: Look who’s not walking

You always thought you should give way to pedestrians while driving. In Beijing, China you should be careful not to stop for passing pedestrians; if you do so you will end up paying a hefty fine.

5. Singapore: No chewing gum zone

Say “NO” to chewing gum in Singapore. Be it in a public area or the privacy of your hotel room, you just can’t afford to chew gums, as smuggling gum into the country is a serious offence.

6. Dubai: Single but don’t mingle

If you are feeling all “lovey dovey”, hold your horses and watch your actions as kissing or hugging in public in Dubai can land you in a jail. Also, it is absolutely illegal to share a hotel room with the opposite sex (someone whom you are not married to).

7. Angola: Think before you click

There are a few things travellers need to consider before planning a trip to Angola. Make sure you are accompanied by an experienced guide and NEVER dare to click any police officer, as this could land you in a trouble.

8. North Korea: Say no to travelling solo

If you are thinking of exploring North Korea all by yourself, think again. It is mandatory to be accompanied by a government designated guide at all times. Also, South Koreans are not allowed to enter North Korea, except in special cases with approval from Ministry of Unification.
