The slopes at Auli, Dayara Bugyal, Mundali and Munsyari offer some of the best skiing opportunities in the Himalayan terrains of Uttarakhand. Many national and international-level skiing championships are organized here annually.

Apart from skiing in Auli, you can also ride on the 4.5 km ropeway that connects it to Joshimath. The ropeway holds the record of being the highest and longest cable car in Asia. So hop on and enjoy aerial views of the mountains and surrounding forests!

Jungle Safari at Corbett

Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in the country and is an ecotourism destination. Tourist can visit the park between September and June to explore the wilderness and do some bird-watching. You can opt for jeep safaris or ride an elephant into nature’s trails.

Besides jungle safaris, tourists can also opt for camping in the reserve. Many hotels and resorts provide accommodation around the park, but only the forest rest houses are available inside the reserve area.

Trekking to Hemkund Sahib

Although there are numerous trek trails in Uttarakhand, the 19 km trek to Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara is filled with many wondrous sites! Rock Climbing in Nainital

Many rock climbing and rappelling activities are organized at various locations in Uttarakhand. To take the ultimate test of strength, coordination skills and balance, head over to Nainital. This hill station town can be easily approached via a Delhi to Nainital taxi and can be reached in about 7 hours. Rock climbing must not be confused with mountaineering as the latter involves snowy mountain peaks and a lot of rough weather. Many tour and camp organizers in the area can help you start on your adventures!
