IndiGo is a low-cost carrier based in India. It is the largest airline in the country by passengers carried and fleet size, with a market share of 55.7% as of November 2022. It operates flights to 75 domestic and 26 international destinations.

IndiGo was founded in 2006 by Rahul Bhatia and Rakesh Gangwal and it began operations in the same year in August. The airline is headquartered in Gurugram, India. It is a subsidiary of InterGlobe Enterprises, a company which is also owned by the duo.

IndiGo operates a fleet of over 280 aircraft. As the fleet consists of fuel-efficient aircraft, it is able to offer low fares to the passengers. The carrier offers a range of facilities and amenities, including web check-in, preferred seat selection, and priority boarding. It has also launched the 6E add-ons program, which allows customers to purchase additional services such as meal pre-booking, priority check-in and excess baggage allowance at competitive prices.

As of 2021, IndiGo is the largest airline in India in terms of passenger carried and market share. It has a massive fleet of aircraft to support its operations that consists of the Airbus A320neo and ceo, Airbus A321neo and ATR 72-600. The seating capacity on an A320ceo fleet is 180 and on an A320neo fleet is 180-186. The A321 fleet can seat 222-232 passengers, while the ATR fleet can seat 78.

Indigo Flights' Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and modifications for bookings can be done no later than 4 hours for international flight ticket and 2 hours for domestic flights before the scheduled departure time.

In case of no show, charges will be imposed if the ticket is not cancelled or rescheduled and only applicable taxes will be refunded, forfeiting the ticket amount. Refunds are processed after deducting the appropriate cancellation charges as per the sector.
