Liked the breakfast
by Yannis P on 24 Oct 2012 (Couple Traveller)
Wide variety of ingredients, very good quality of food concerning the breakfast. Really really good. The rooms were good enough if you're just looking for a place to spent the night. The bathrooms clean enough. WiFi is not free though and the hotel is located on the top floors of a building which hosts other businesses. If this is OK, I guess it is a hotel highly recommended. Its also near metro stations.
Afordable, good location and very welcoming people.

The room is simple and minimalist with a large bed and a high ceiling, small but pretty bathroom. Depending on the room some have a good and spacious view to the outside, since it has no buildings in front of it, but a factory. Which sounds bed, but it's not... if you get a sunshine day, it's the clouds and the blue sky that enter the room when you're laying down on the bed, that makes the view worthwile.
A different hotel experience, certainly, but fine by me

But a U-Bahn station is just 5 minutes, and the S-Bahn about 8 minutes away; and you ...
A good value...but

We stayed at the Alameda for 4 nights in Sept. When taxi arrived I thought we were at the wrong address! Saw sign for "hotel" but we were at some sort of workshop with busy workers about. With difficulty (had to climb to 5th floor to send lift down) we arrived. We were greeted by a pleasant woman who showed us around and to our room which was quite small but clean and adequate. She handed us 3 keys: one for our room, one for the lift and one for the hotel entrance lock. After 8 PM there is ...
Above average 2*

I stayed at the Alameda for one night in June. It was for business and the client wasn't prepared to pay more than about 80 euros a night. At short notice I couldn't find anything else closer to Mitte than this. At first I was a bit taken aback by the location - right next to Köpenick power plant and in a bit of an unattractive street - but having travelled up to the 5th floor and being met by a very friendly lady my confidence was restored. I was given #8, an L-shaped twin room which was immacu...
