Convenient Location

by bucksimp on 28 Jun 2016 (Friends Traveller)

Took the TGV down from Paris to Nice for the Euros and to our pleasant surprise discovered en-route that the train stopped at Cannes both on the way to Nice and the way back. What's more when we got out of the station we looked across the road and there was the hotel! Slightly weird entrance next to the boulangerie and up some stairs but pleasant enough welcome and decent sized room with good TV, Wifi, shower and air conditioning. We were on the 3rd floor & there is a small (3 man) lift from t...

A bit dated but well-equipped rooms

by nomadofthecentury on 13 Oct 2014 (Solo Traveller)

After several nights of bunking in dorm rooms, my stay at a single room at Alan Robert’s Hotel was a well- deserved treat. The hotel’s location is unbeatable – it’s just a 2- minute walk from the Cannes train station and about 8 minutes to La Croisette. The room I stayed in looked a bit cramped and dated but was sensibly equipped with the basics (wardrobe, a small table, TV, blankets, towels, toothbrushes etc.). Wifi was pretty strong too. They have a 24-hour reception manned by friendly and hel...

great experience

by thenewyorker13 on 13 Jan 2014 (Business Traveller)

a stones throw away from the croisette , Robert's is a tiny but comfortable hotel in Cannes. The family run hotel has a lovely charm as members of the extremely friendly family go out of their way to help their guests. the rooms are very small, but room service is excellent. the place is surrounded by great eats and has good security.

Clean, cheap but would not stay again.

The moment I moved in I wanted to cancel my reservation but unfortunately the one I wanted was fully booked for those days. It's clean, one of the cheaper ones, but for the same price and location and I would choose something like PLM hotel which is just round the corner. The people at the reception were friendly (we were told that it's a family run hotel) but it's in desperate need of a major refurbishment if they don't want to go out of business soon.

You get what you pay for

Spent 3 Nights here in June/July - I had picked some of the cheapest hotels available at hotels.com so I did not have any high hopes for a fantastic hotel. It's centrally located, but the standard is fairly low, but still it's clean. Based on what you pay, and what you get in return, it's quite ok. + very centrally located, clean, cheep - small room, low standard All in all, for 160 EUR for 3 nights I'd say it was a bargain despite the low standard. It really makes we wonder though, had they i...
