Basic accommodation but friendly staff and good value

This was a former hospital which has been converted. This isn't a place for everybody but is perfect for certain travelers. I am 1 of those. It is remarkably cheap as in 1 of cheapest places I have probably ever stayed in. I stayed in a dorm room which I guess was once a ward. Each bed has a mosquito net. There are showers with hot water albeit, not the cleanest but usable. There is also free WiFi.
On the top floor you can get food which is veggie only and really good. There are nice views of Bod...

Amazing stay with family
by veronikas143 on 30 Nov 2018 (Solo Traveller)
Ansari house is lovely place, I was feeling very welcomed and so peacefully here!! As beeing located outside the main BodhGaya’s hustle and bustle, this place is really calm, but still it is not far - by crossing the dry river bank, it is only 15-20 minutes by walk to Mahabodi temple. Also food is delicious and organic, veggies from their own garden. And the best about Andari house - they definitely want to make you feel you are a part of a big family. Loved it!
Cosy and informal homestay

The structure is clean and simple, comfortable and quiet. It is located in a small village on the opposite side of the city centre, and this makes it very peaceful (no cars or tuktuks). The owners are friendly and nice, and the price is convenient.
The only thing is that after sunset it is recommendable not to go on foot from the centre to the hotel, as there are no lights, so better to take a tuktuk close to the bridge.
Overall, I recommend it!
Perfect!!!

The family is reallllllly nice and helpful! I had stomach pain and gave me medicine.
It was the cheapest in buddhagaya only 100rp , 1.7dollar! Quiet and beautiful view! Nothing bad.
