Excellent Budget Hotel Option
by Ecotrend on 09 Jul 2014
This is a good option for anyone wanting to explore Krakow without breaking the bank! It is located close to the inner core but not too close to be bothered with music or night clubs. The rooms are air conditioned and decently comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Krakow is a great city for a short break and the Ambasador a pretty good place to stay!
Enjoyed our stay at the Ambasador, Very Friendly Staff

Our Kids gave us present of a trip for Christmas, a weekend in Krakow in January!! (Thank you Ryanair) We stayed at the Ambasador and found the Hotel, warm and clean. The Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The Hotel is very well situated, 5-10 minutes walking distance from the City centre, the Jewish quarter and the railway station and there are supermarkets and Off licences 1-2 minutes away. In January the hotel had no bar or lounge area.
Ok if stale cigarette smell is your thing!

Generally speaking I always make the most of a break away, we work hard , I look forward to going away and I dont want to spend my time moaning. We had a great time in Krakow, and it was definatly a good trip but the hotel was not the reason why. Generally a very poor hotel, worst I have stayed in Europe. EVERYTHING smelled of stale cigarettes, even the "clean" towels. There were no toiletries provided, even soap, only one towel per person and that was the size of a napkin! I had to ask fo...
Had such a great time!

Although there is not much 'services' such as room service or restaurant in the hotel, I felt that this room gave me what I needed, warmth and comfort (after being outside in the freezing cold all day). There are no lifts in this hotel, we were on the second floor, so had to walk up flights of stairs everyday, but it was manageable. We only went down to breakfast once out of the 5 days we stayed. It was very basic, cold ham, egg, rolls, cereals and yoghurts, but it did set you up for the day ...
Good central Hotel
by marlinsapalu on 29 Dec 2008 (Friends Traveller)
Just returned from a 3 night stay. Hotel is very central for all parts of Krakow. Both the Jewish Quarter and the Main square are about 10 mins walk. The Castle took us about 15 mins. There is a shuttle bus both to the Salt mines and Austwitz which you can catch just across the road. Talking of the road, we had a room overlooking the main road and our friends had a room at the back. Neither of us had any problems with traffic noise. We could of course hear the trams, but they stop running at ab...
