Fabulous hotel

by Debbiesxx on 26 Jan 2017 (Friends Traveller)

We have just got back from 7 nights at this fabulous hotel. A really central location, with everything you need within walking distance. Staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. From lending us an adaptor to giving us beach chairs (rather than paying $30 per day EACH every day on the beach). We were a bit dubious about breakfast from the reviews, but there was absolutely nothing to worry about. And if you don't like it, there's loads of other places nearby. A ri...

Good enough... I guess

by asml8d on 24 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

Coming to Oahu for a quick vacation weekend, I wasn't super interested in getting a really nice hotel, as I knew we weren't going to be there much. I concentrated on some 3 and 3.5 star hotels (per Expedia) and that's when I saw this place. The rooms looked nice, so I mentioned it to the wife and we agreed we'd stay here. Upon checking in, the lobby looked just like the pictures, which made me feel good. The room, however, did not. It wasn't horrible, just run down and neglected. Thin layer...

looks like cheap hotel but it comes along with poor quality of staying

by Hongsik J on 18 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

location was not bad at all, approximately 10 minutes walk to Waikiki beach. there are more than several sound restaurants in 10~15 minutes in walk radius. but hotel was just qualified for the cheap price, breakfast meal was very poor and room was too small and loud. receptionist told me that i was upgraded but it was smallest room on floor which is just next to main elevator. even their facility was very poor, resort fee was high and parking lot extra cost was high too. i would ever visit thi...

Almost Passable...

by fatoldlady on 07 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

Stuck here to wait out arrival of e-visas; all Airbnb's full, reduced to this wretched ghetto. PROS: Better than an Airbnb 'private room' bec. of own bathroom. It was available. Annominity. Only $1 from airport on city bus. Kudos to concierge Jesse Savio for helping us out with difficult visa processing. Thanks to housekeeping Corazon for sweetness and politeness. Mgmt. has tried to provide 'all the necessarys'. But... CONS: ... bed is lousey, foam topper doesn't really fix it; very high,...

For the price and amenities, pretty decent

by extravelagent on 05 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

Had some clients come in last week and the boss decided that I should stay in Waikiki one night to be closer to the clients. The Aloha Surf came up as one of the cheapest for this peak time period. Booked the cheapest room they had on line for about $145 not including resort fee. Hotel is smack in the middle of Waikiki but on Ala Wai side. of course the room they gave me was on the Ala Wai and while nice to look at the mountains, it can be a bit loud (4th floor). But I expect most hotels in Waik...
