Yes. They are ! The Taj Mahal is a accessibility-friendly monument and has ramps at all key places to allow easy access for persons on wheelchairs.

The ASI Office at the Taj Mahal (Phone number 0562 - 2334098) provides wheelchairs to the disabled, and there is a refundable charge of Rs. 1000 for it (so it's basically free of cost). You will need to give them a photo ID and will need to sign a logbook to get the wheelchair issued there.

Going by the experience of other wheelchair visitors, you might want to either bring your own electric wheelchair or hire a rickshaw puller at the parking to push your wheelchair since there is a lot of wheeling to be done inside the monument.

Hope you have a great trip to the most beautiful wonder of the world :)
