It's really huge!! I visited this zoo thrice so far. First time was with friends, last 2 instances with family. The last time we took the bus and it was disappointing. it feels as if they are in a hurry to just finish the ride and drop you off, so you really cannot enjoy the beauty. There is so much to see and I feel the bus ride really do not do justice. However if you have people who cannot walk/ride bicycle then it may be your only option.. but now you know :). Pros: Huge, vast bio-diversity, nice trees all over, inexpensive to get in, amazing Lion Safari. Cons: Not enough food outlets, rest rooms are very dirty (though they are 'pay & use'). Overall the effort spent on maintenance must improve. Best Part: DO NOT MISS THE LION SAFARI!! That's by far the key highlight. Must Improve: If one is going to spend the whole day inside, the rest-rooms must be in a much better shape.

If u go by train to the zoo. You have to get a share auto from the station. Dont miss the lion safari. If you ant walk u could hire a bicycle inside zoo.

Its really a lovely zoo. Its a big zoo, for visiting the zoo it will take 5/6 hours. Lots af animals are there . its a very nice experience to visit Arignar Anna Zoological park. This park famous by its name Vandalur Zoo is located in GST road near vandalur well connected by bus and train. Inside the park separate place is there for Bird sanctuary and animals are housed in a vast area. It was enjoyable for my baby to see elephant Spotted deer going freely in the forest area thought it is cordoned off to save us from them.. and vice versa. For elders you can opt for battery operated vehicles to go around. Food items are available at various places. Recently they have arranged place for eating for those who brings outside food.
