Not that bad

by Jana R on 25 Jul 2016 (Friends Traveller)

We spent two nights in this hotel with my friends. It was the cheapest place I could find 4 days in advance. Thanks to all the negative reviews I was prepared for the worst. But it wasn't actually that bad! The place isn't the nicest one but the room was clean and the one bathroom for the whole hotel, too. I mean what would you expect for 22 euros per night? It's a completely satisfactory place for a shorter visit.

beware of what to expect

this is NOT a regular hotel. It is a pension, as the name states. In Germany, it means that it is aimed to all kind of guests. By all kinds , I really mean it. The room was dark, NO bathroom in the room and if you ever want to take a shower please bring your soap and tower with you and if it is winter get ready for a cold common bathroom. Nobody will make up your bed and if you do not speak German you will not be able to communicate. Also, the stair to access the rooms are dark and scary. We pai...

Do NOT stay at this hotel!!!

by albertopezzani on 17 Aug 2014 (Couple Traveller)

This is the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. Our first impression was that this place was nasty and dingy, and none of the recepcionists spoke any English. They advertise daily housecleaning, and the room was only cleaned once over the three nights we stayed there. We were asked to deposit 10 euros for the hotel key, and then they refused to return the 10 euros upon checkout - even though we returned the key - because we did not have a receipt, which we were never told we w...

Cozy neighborhood

by robert43041 on 27 Jul 2013 (Solo Traveller)

Away from town center, but easily accessible by U and S Bahn. A lovely area with many nice cafés, restaurants and markets. (Also a "Washerei" - where you can wash your clothes - right next door. Always appreciated when you are on the move.)

Could be better, but at least clean and not too expensive

I stayed in a single room in this hotel for a week. One cathodic TV. No private bathroom, but a washbasin and then common showers on same floor. The room was rather quiet, a bit too far of the center of the city to simply walk there, but the street and the quarter were fine. What I missed the most was a wifi access. One would have to compare this place with a youth hostel in Berlin to make a really decent review.
