about balaji temple

Balaji Temple is among the most revered sites of the region. This temple was built in 1610 AD by Shri Balbhadra Dasji and Shri Bhosleji and is one of the oldest temples of the region. It is dedicated to Lord Balaji, who is widely worshipped across the country.
The most distinguishing part of this temple are walls adorned by the pictures of Lord Rama.  These pictures depict the life of Lord Rama during the exile. The idol of Lord Balaji has shaligrams placed near it. Shaligrams are said to be symbols of Lord Vishnu and it is believed to be  found floating in the river Gandaki in Nepal.
