Fantastic views of Snowdonia but the rooms are slightly expensive :).

by Jenanime on 10 Sep 2016 (Friends Traveller)

My parents, a friend and I stayed here overnight as we wanted somewhere rural and quiet in Snowdonia with gorgeous views. On the picturesque side, Brynllyndan did not disappoint and we were greeted with fantastic hill views when we finally arrived (it is quite the journey to get to the hotel by car through a long and winding bumpy road). My parents stayed in a double bed room (£82 per night), while my friend and I stayed in the premium twin room (£89 per night). The premium twin room was a decen...

Enjoyable stay

by Stephen C on 29 Aug 2016 (Couple Traveller)

Stayed 1 night here in a standard room found the room a little small but comfortable very clean the property is on the off beaten track very quiet and stunning views bit of a trek to go into village so we decided to have a drink of wine outside watching sun go down. Staff really nice and pleasant would I go back yes.

Views are great but........

The view and the quiet are the only things that this place has going for it. The Premium room is bigger than the standard but has dark wood furniture with ill fitting drawers that must have been made in the 70's. The bathroom was ok but nowhere other than a small windowsill to put anything and no hook for a robe or clothes if you're using the bath or shower. Breakfast room was dark and I inviting. Food was only available for one hour and again the menu was so outdated. Orange juice was it, no ot...

Had a lovely stay

by tattydo on 14 Aug 2016 (Couple Traveller)

stayed for three nights and had a lovely stay. The room was nice and clean.Plenty of tea/coffee etc.Breakfast was good.(would have been better to have toast with cooked breakfast or after rather than before!)The views from the patio area are stunning .Wifi was very good in room. Tv could do with updating as on a wall mount that you keep banging your head on when using the desk. The corridor floor is noisy and the fire doors bang. The hotel is up a long single track.Apart from them couple of things...

Quiet but Dated

by ralph j on 25 Jul 2016 (Couple Traveller)

The directions seem daunting but in reality it is dead easy to find as it is well signposted off the main road. Because it is so far off the road it is very quiet with great views of the valley where the Ospreys are nesting & the Snowdonia hills. The room is fine if a bit dated more of a Travelodge feel than country guest house which is great if all you need is a comfortable room. The cooked breakfast is average, I've had worse & I've had better. Overall I would stay again but if I'm honest I wo...
