View & ambiance a Gift

by sharkwhale13 on 07 Jan 2016 (Solo Traveller)

Views, ambiance, price, quality is truly a gift. There is a private entry into the protected reserve that also takes you to Merlin's cave and King Arthur ruins. There is a entry fee to enter the ruins. Camelot hotel is the place to stay when in Tintagel. It overlooks the ocean, ruins, cave and beautiful nature.

I stayed in this hotel after arriving from the airport the night of Friday to Saturday , and to be honest the room was dirty and Extremely noisy , I DON'T KNOW WHY the night receptionist gave it to me knowing how terrible it is and even expensive , while he was checking me in , and I was so tired , he was talking to his friends and me waiting that they finish , so the check in operation took me like 30 minutes to get a terrible room where I couldn't sleep at all , Wifi was not working at all to...

Camelot House, Sussex Gardens

by vguse on 03 Jan 2014 (Family Traveller)

I would have to admit that we were a little disappointed when shown to our room - It was very tiny, and quite tired looking and could possibly do with an update...having said that, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay... the staff were amazing, they were kind, helpful and more than willing to assist us in every way possible. The Hotel is very close to Edgeware Rd Tube Station and there are many restaurants and pubs close by...so all in all very convenient...a...

Don't bother

by Nuno P on 21 Oct 2013 (Friends Traveller)

This hotel is located on a street that has more than a dozen other hotels. If you can, chose any of those but stay away from Camelot House. Went with friends, stayed on a quadruple room that was located in the basement, with only one window and barely no light. On arrival the experience was dreadful. The guy at reception, upon payment, gave us the key to room and failed to warn us that the room wasn't made. More than four hours after the check-in time, our room wasn't ready and we had to face th...

Poor and not even that cheap!

by muzz84 on 11 Sep 2013

I booked this hotel for a business trip before looking at the reviews on here. The price suggested I was getting something basic but habitable. Unfortunately like all other reviewers I was left disappointed and with the hope I do not have to stay here again. The hotel is just off Edgware Road and near to the tube station. Edgware Road is dominated by Indian restaurants which are inviting and have good food. The hotel itself is okay from the outside - clearly marked (you cannot miss it). T...
