Assuming you want to know about Kempty falls situated in Uttarakhand, Kempty falls is one of the most incredible and stupendous waterfalls of India. Located at a distance of 15 km from Mussoorie right by the Chakrata road, Kempty falls were actually advanced as a tourist spot back in 1835 by John Mekinan, a British officer. Its colonial roots are evident in its name- Kempty falls used to be a spot for British tea-parties and was called as ‘camp tea’!

Cascading from a height of 4,500 feet and splitting into five different cascades 40 feet before it touches the ground, Kempty falls make for a breathtaking and stunning sight. If you are one for fishing, then Kempty falls are the place to head to. Out here trouts are in abundance. However, you will have to take permission from Forest Office in Mussoorie to be able to fish here.

Ideal for a spot of picnicking and simply soaking in the natural splendour of Uttarakhand, the time to visit Kempty falls is from September to June.
