If you are on a short trip to the North, taking a Golden Triangle Tour is probably one of your best options! Covering major attractions across three cities of tourist interest, this tour will give you a great insight on the history, culture and architecture of North India. The tour operated by private operators is typically about six days long and broken into three parts, one devoted to each city. The first city covered is Delhi, from where one goes to Agra and finally to Jaipur.

Delhi

In Delhi, one spends around two days, covering the following attractions:

1. Raj Ghat
2. Red Fort
3. Jama Masjid
4. Qutub Minar
5. India Gate
6. Rashtrapati Bhavan
7. Lakshmi Narayan Temple
8. Lotus Temple
9. Akshardham Temple

Agra

After Delhi, the tour continues to Agra. Most tour operators cover Mathura enroute Agra. On reaching Agra, the following attractions are covered:

1. Red Fort
2. Taj Mahal
3. Aram Bagh
4. Fatehpur Sikri

Jaipur

The last destination in this tour is Jaipur, where the following attractions are covered:

1. Amber Fort
2. City Palace and Museum
3. Hawa Mahal
4. Jal Mahal
5. Jantar Mantar
6. Galtaji Temple

From Jaipur you return to Delhi, to make the journey to home sweet home.

Generally, this tour costs about INR 20000 per person, inclusive of accommodation, travelling and sightseeing charges. The charges may vary according to operators and inclusions.

You can also opt for the Delhi Tourism Golden Triangle Tour, which is 3 days long. The tour doesn’t cover attractions in Delhi, but covers the just about all the above attractions for Agra and Jaipur. The cost for this tour is INR 4800 per person and includes travel, accommodation and guided tours.
