Suggest ways to celebrate Parent's Day

0 people found this answer useful Useful ?Yes

After Mother’s and Father’s Day, it’s time to celebrate Parent’s Day. Make this day extra special for your Mom and Dad as they deserve it all. Here’s how you can celebrate the duo or “the perfect couple”.

Parent’s day out

Say no to kitchen and home cooked food. Pack up the picnic basket and head to your favourite park for a nice “family time”. Play a game of frisbee or pose for a “selfie” to make memories that you and your parents will cherish for years to come.

Go down memory lane

Put a smile on your parents’ face by gifting them a hand-made scrapbook of old family photographs. Bring back those good old days. Twinkling eyes, a million dollar smile and a bit of nostalgia--priceless!

Bake some love cookies

Baking a cake, cookies or your favourite dessert is a great way to bond with your parents. Once done, serve it up with toppings of love and care. Don’t forget to keep a “thank you note” along to make this treat all the more special for them.

A family game night

Get your board games out and plan a family game night. Laughter, fun and excitement, all night long! Don’t forget to appreciate the sporting spirit of your parents. More than winning, it’s the spirit of participation that matters.

A surprise visit

If you stay away from your parents, drop by in the evening, if you can’t spend the full day with them. Do carry a bouquet and a cake that says “World’s best Mom and Dad”. Your visit will brighten the day for your parents. A camera and few snaps would just do wonders to capture the priceless expression on their faces!

Plan a family vacation

A family vacation is what you need to celebrate Parent’s Day. Ask your parents which destination they would want to visit and get started with the preparations. Ticket--check, hotel--check, itinerary--check, luggage-check, camera--check. Great! Bon voyage!

Karaoke night at home

How about arranging a karaoke night at home? Work on an audio collection of their favourite songs and let them sing their heart out. Mike, audio, action! :-D

A walk to remember

Wake up early and make your parents happy by accompanying them for a morning walk. No more complaints of you getting up late, that too on a Sunday. ;-)

And that’s how you can celebrate Parent’s Day. Plan a nice surprise for your folks and let them know how special they are for you. All the best! :-)
