Really Central

by SunilNambiar on 20 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

Stay Central is a really central place to stay in, while in Edinburgh. It's bang in the heart of the Old Town - and short walks take you to Grassmarket, Market Street, Holyrod and the historic Royal Mile. Very convenient to embark on consucted tours as most coaches start from Royal Mile, just about a 10 minute walk away. There are quite a few restaurants to chose from in the vicinity. This hotel however is more suited for very young people and not quite ideal for a family like ours. The Three Si...

Perfect for someone in their 20s or 30s

by James A on 15 Jan 2017 (Solo Traveller)

I think my younger self would have really loved this place. Nice/clean rooms right above a local sports pub. Turns out my cab driver actually met his bride at the pub known as Three Sisters. Don't come here expecting a quiet stay. While it didn't really bother me, I could hear noise from the pub below and while walking down the hallway, you can hear folks chatting in their rooms. As for location, it really is central. All the major sites were a short walk away. If I were in my 20s and 30s, I wo...

Superb Location, Definitely Stay Again.

by Rachel E on 12 Jan 2017 (Friends Traveller)

Four of us stayed at the Stay Central Hotel for one evening. The room was very clean, plenty of space for the four of us. Really modern and quirky we would definitely recommend it to others. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was right next door to the three sisters pub and courtyard. Never heard any noice from either when we were in the room. They provided toiletries, still and sparkling water, tea and coffee and a Tunnocks teacake, which was a lovely surprise. The towels were fantastica...

Very Good

by lbjolicoeur on 08 Jan 2017 (Friends Traveller)

We stayed here the weekend that EdFringe was beginning. The accommodations were excellent, the location, SUPER, but the beer garden in the courtyard was packed and noisy with screaming revellers until the wee hours EVERY night. I'm sure if I was much younger, we would have been fine. Be sure to request a QUIET room and make sure that yours is not overlooking the beer garden. I would stay here again and again. Great value and lovely rooms...as long as you ask for a QUIET room! :)

i'd definitely stay here again

we really like the location of the hotel, and it was really cheap in comparison to other ones on the same date. it's quite quirky which I liked, very clean and had a comfortable bed. we only stayed one night and we didn't have breakfast which makes it hard to find fault with it! my ONLY complaint is that the ipod/phone dock in the room was for an old ipod so, I would guess, unusable for most people. I'd have loved to be able to use it because it's quite a novelty for a hotel room for me.
