Chedi Spring Valley , thrissur

We had a visit to this facility two and half years back. The experience was pretty good. So we tried it again last week; and booked via Agoda with pre-payment. We reached the facility by 6PM. To our horrifying surprise, the guy at the counter said, they have no business with Agoda! Though we have a confirmed, booking reservation, they said no rooms are available and they can not entertain us. We used to travel a lot and this kind of an experience was novel to us. We called Agoda; they apologize...

Not sure why this hotel should charge any amount more than Rs 500 per night (one double bed and a single fan thats it) in place of Rs 3000 for deluxe rooms. 0 amenities, nasty rooms, unclean toilets, only one fan, ac does not work, no proper arrangement for any major meal, cupboard smells pathetically bad, no soaps in toilets, shower full of cobwebs. we asked for wifi the attendant said he will arrange and then went away for long without sharing any passwords and then came back after long time ...

I am coming every year and i am always happy to be here😊 the locals are very nice and the food is the best...🙏😊that is all we need...and the river which is close by is super chilled to take a bath in the morning

Staying here was a strange, mixed bag of an experience. On the one hand, the valley is stunning - it is difficult to imagine a more beautiful location - and swimming in the river and visiting the nearby waterfalls was magical. The food was nice too, though it arrived at strange times. We had some great chats with our hosts who were very keen to discuss Indian culture and philosophy with us. In my opinion Chedi spring valley is great for bachelors. We were 15 of us. All our friends were just rocking their. The music and the lights were just winding our mood up. Loved that night. None of us wanted to come back home as the place was like awesome for us....
