Excellent one night stay in Guadix

by Cabuhaidar711 on 20 Dec 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We spent one night in room 17, which we absolutely enjoyed. The hotel/apartment sells wood and fire starter, which was excellent luck for us as we didn't have our own. It is a quick drive to the old town, and the caves provide a cozy atmosphere for a very quiet note.

Great experience of real Spain

We stayed here last week I think some of the past reviews were unfair it is a great place to stay and good value for money. The staff were so helpful and friendly that they made our stay. We stayed 4 nights half board although the menu was a bit limited the food was all good and on 2 nights we ate from the main menu and and paid a supplement the first night was there was no extra charge and the second was 37 this included drinks and a bottle of wine both nights. My wife said it was the best pael...

Unique experience, but not for a long stay.

by Stephanie B on 18 Jun 2015 (Couple Traveller)

I've stayed in this cave hotel for one night while traveling through Andalusia. Each cave is a small apartment with a bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, living room and terrace. There is a small swimming pool, but it was closed during our stay as it's only open during summer. In the center of the property you can also find a restaurant belonging to the hotel. The caves are situated on a mountain, so you get a spectacular view. It's also looking over the highway which the caves are located next to, but...

Cuevas Pedro Antonio de Alarcon

A very special and interesting place to visit. Very friendly and welcoming staff and lovely surroundings. The caves are well furnished, with what you need. The restaurant is lovely located and serves good food. We visited the hotel in early February and the temperature outside was about 3 gr. - And not much more inside. Our cave was equipped with 3 radiators which could not heat the cave when they were first turned on at. 18:00 - and off again at. 10:00. So a visit - and the caves and the area i...

Enjoyed it very much, a bit pricey but very unique and each cave is actually an apartment

by locfp on 18 Jan 2013 (Couple Traveller)

My husband and I took a trip from Barcelona and drove to Valencia, then Guadix, and down the coast. We found this resort and decided to stay at a cave home. We paid 69 euro for both of us which we considered a little expensive but it did include dinner and breakfast. The room is actually a 2-bedroom apartment cave home. The entire resort consists of at least 20 individual homes (something like 29 but cannot recall) and is maintained nicely and clean. It was very cold when we arrived mid Dec...
