about dilli haat

Dilli Haat is India at its best, literally. Here you will have the opportunity to choose from a range of handicrafts from all over India. The handicraft stalls here sell authentic products from nooks and corners of the vast country on a 15-days rotational basis, making sure that each and every variety of handicraft product gets its chance to showcase its uniqueness to the numerous visitors from all over the world. From Kashmiri walnut wood carvings and colourful Rajasthani clothes to amazing Naga shawls and shiny Kanjeevarams from the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu- you will find it all here. the best part about this rural-styled market is the fact that the prices are reasonable as it is a government maintained and managed shopping complex.

There are two Dilli Haats, one near INA market, and a newer version at Pitampura. Stroll around, shop to your heart's content and before you head back to your hotel, do visit the food-stalls in the complex. With delicacies from all over the country, Dilli Haat is perhaps the best place to make the foodie in you happy and satisfied. So, try momos or bamboo shoots-based non-vegetarian dishes in any of the Northeastern food-stalls or the Gujarati Dhokla for a light, puffy delight. You will be left with your lip-smacking and asking for more and more.
