Old, but cozy and comfortable

by George D on 26 Jul 2016 (Friends Traveller)

A well located, old hotel in downtown BA, accessible prices as far as hotels go, although an expensive choice if you're on a tight budget. Elevators are really old fashioned, UPI have to close its doors manually... and I'm not sure if I qualify this as a pro or a con. Actually it's more of a quirky feature: despite being old, it works well and is fast. Breakfast is an Argentinian classic: bread, medialunas (both sweet and salty), jam, butter and cafe con leche. What you see on the internet is NOT what the rooms are at all!

by SheilaSwanLaufer on 07 Jul 2016 (Couple Traveller)

If you are only looking for a cheap place to sleep, and can get a room facing the street, it might be O.K. otherwise, the rooms are old, not very clean, and you are likely to get a light well for a view. Short distance from Rail & Bus Terminal

by LechBK on 01 Mar 2016 (Solo Traveller)

I was quite fortunate to select this Hotel, because of a very convenient location. It is 5/7 minutes walking distance to Metro and Bus stations It is also near to Rail, Bus & Ferry Terminals. Shops are very near. Leaving Hotel on your right hand side corner there is a Pizza Bar serving probably the best Pizza in BA center. Hotel is old and the lifts doesn't meet up to date standards. Close to the reception desk guests can find two computers free of chargé. If you stay longer time there is a chan...

Very average

by Fszucs on 17 Aug 2013 (Solo Traveller)

I didn't have any booking cos my flight been cancelled so plans changed and had to stay longer in buenos aires so I just walked in and booked a room for a night. It was okey, furnitures are a old and tired. I managed to have a good sleep though, nothing special. Overall Argentina is overpriced not just this place, thanks to the inflation. Oh yeah and the receptionist didn't really speak English so had to try my weak Spanish but I managed to communicate, luckily.
