Good for the price. Good location. Very decent.

by Tracy V on 07 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

My two sisters and I stayed at the Econo Lodge for 10 days in December for a family vacation. We didn't really care much about how "luxurious" the place we would stay at would be since we would be out in the city most of the time anyway and this place fit that. Location: The location is GREAT. It's about a 10 minute walk to the downtown area with a major shopping centre and more shopping, a theatre with fast food places, and some subway stations. Walking to and from the lodge at night isn't *to...

3 Stars for the Hotel, but 5 Stars for the Staff

by Yolanta C on 31 Oct 2016 (Solo Traveller)

Stayed over a week and as others have noted, it's decent for the price and location. The hotel is older but clean, with comfy beds. Location is central so you can walk easily to shops and have a few grocery stores nearby if you are on a budget. Breakfast is basic: cereal, breads, juice and coffee. Book online if you can as there is a savings from the regular rate. I gave the hotel 3 stars, but would rate the staff 5 stars as I found them incredibly helpful and friendly.

Comfy bed

by Kate N on 18 Oct 2016 (Solo Traveller)

I stayed here for a week and the bed was so comfortable that I would give the bed a 5. Housekeeping were also good and very thorough and regardless of the time I left my room, I always returned to find it spotless. The only qualm I have is that the tea and coffee wasn't kept topped up. I never had the breakfast that was included in the price so I cannot give an opinion on that but it was from 6-10 which I thought was a good amount of time and would suit early risers as well as those who prefe...

Crazy stay after Adele Concert

by Suzanne K on 04 Oct 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We chose this budget hotel to stay in after the Adele concert. We are fine with budget properties (smaller rooms, fewer amenities, not a big deal). However when we got back to our room around 11pm there were two police officers sitting in the hall directly in front of our door. It turns out there was some "illegal activity" in the room directly across the hall from ours. The officers said it didn't present a safety concern - but they had to remain in the hallway all night and we could hear eve...

Decent for the price

by Amber_the_Traveller on 25 Sep 2016 (Couple Traveller)

The hotel is showing its age but it's a decent stay for the price you'll pay. Especially when every hotel in downtown Toronto is over $400. Parking is 2 city blocks away, so if you have trouble walking this might not be the hotel for you.
