Wild Wadi

Wild Wadi is located right next to the very beautiful Burj Al Arab and is one of the best water parks in Dubai. The park has 9 big rides, but the main highlight is the Jumeirah Sceirah, a 120 metres long free-fall slide that you plunge down at an average speed of 80 km/hour! You can water float in one of the rivers here, try wave surfing, get a foot massage and eat delicious fast-food at one of the many food kiosks here. There is a special children’s section in Wild Wadi.

Ski Dubai

Who would have thought that you can holiday in a desert city and still indulge in skiing! Located in Mall of the Emirates, Ski Dubai is the very first indoor ski slope of its kind in Dubai. You can do snowboarding, skiing, play in the snow park and have photos taken with penguins (yes, you read it right!) at this unique ski slope.

Desert Safari

Desert Safari is an amazing activity for the entire family to experience together. Depending upon the package you opt for, you will be either be told to meet at a point or picked up from your home or hotel. After an adventurous drive up and down the dunes, you can opt for live entertainment, which usually consists of a belly dancing performance and a barbecue dinner.

Dubai Aquarium

Dubai Aquarium is a 10-million-litre aquarium that contains over 400 sharks and rays and 140 different species of fish. You can take a walk through the tunnel at the bottom tank while you gaze upon these magnificent creatures. You can then make your way down to the underwater zoo and learn about these marine animals and their life beneath the ocean. This is bound to be a big hit with kids. If you are feeling more adventurous, you can indulge in snorkelling, diving and shark cage diving at an extra cost.

Dubai Ice Rink

Located in Dubai Mall, skating in Dubai Ice Rink can be enjoyed by everyone as there is no minimum or maximum age limit. The activities are just not restricted to skating. You can also try hockey, take skating lessons or skate to live music played by the DJ during certain times of the day. During the first session of the day, which starts at 10 AM, mothers and toddlers can take to the ice together!

KIdzania is an educational centre in Dubai where children can pretend to be adults for the day and choose any one of the 80 careers from making jewellery to being a chef and discover their hidden talents and strengths while having fun! While the children enjoy at Kidzania, parents can unwind at Kidzania cafe or indulge in some shopping.

Children’s City

Children’s City is the first educational centre in Dubai dedicated to children. It is an extremely enjoyable experience for children aged between to 2 to 15 years. Some of the many attractions here are a planetarium, nature area, space exploration area and the international cultural centre. You can plan an entire day around this place. Dubai Dolphinarium is at walking distance from here and you can even visit Wonderland, which is a popular amusement park, which is a short distance away.

Hot Air Ballooning

If your children love adventure, take them for a hot air ballooning experience in Dubai and let them watch a beautiful sunrise over the gulf area. It is a fabulous sight to watch the Sun rising over the desert. The ballon ride is expensive--around AED 1000 per person--but the experience is priceless. Only children above 5 years of age are allowed for the ride.

When in Dubai, you must make a detour to Abu Dhabi to visit Ferrari World. It caters to all age groups. . It has kids F1 kart racing, roller coasters, 4D rides and 5 multicuisine restaurants. Do not forget to buy some interesting souvenirs from the gift shop inside.
