Every year, thousands of tourists travel far and wide to see the famous statues in the world. These famous statues, that have varied social, religious or political significance, are awe-inspiring not only for their enormity but also for their sheer beauty.

Christ the Redeemer

Standing approximately 30 m tall on the Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Christ the Redeemer is a world famous statue that represents Christianity. This colossal statue of Jesus Christ with his head tilted and his arms stretched wide open overlooks Rio Harbour. This statue is one of the largest art deco statues in the world.

Ushiku Daibutsu

Representing the Buddha, Ushiku Daibutsu is one of the tallest and famous statues in the world. Located in the Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, this little known statue stands 120 m tall.
