Don't stay here

by Katie N on 16 Jan 2017 (Solo Traveller)

This place was in a great location but I walked out after seeing the room and found another hotel. it badly needed maintenance and the shower was really grim. I was told to write to the manager to company, three days later they have never answered my email and have not refunded my money. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and camped and never left anywhere before.

A really handy place to stay

by Maggs W on 07 Dec 2016 (Friends Traveller)

Picked this at random and was very pleased with it. Reasonable sized room, clean, comfortable at a good price. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very handy for all attractions and shopping. Also within an easy walk of some really good restaurants. Breakfast very good value at €12.50. Basically all you could eat. Just a word of warning, staying in the front part of hotel with a canal view, can be noisy late at night on a Saturday with the stag and hen parties. Also if you suffer from b...

Charming location and staff

by Honest_Joe2014 on 15 Nov 2016 (Couple Traveller)

The hotel is well located, being 15 min walk away from the crazy hussle and bussle of the Central Area, but still has nice bars and restaurants around the corner and lots of interesting places to see and experience within an easy walk, like the flower market and the Rijks Museum. I mentioned this to the manager in the morning ...

Perfect for a weekend break

by Suzied79 on 30 Oct 2016

Second time we have stayed at the Amsterdam house hotel. It's perfect for a weekend break as it's close to all attractions and central Amsterdam. Room was clean and beds very comfortable. Shower floor was a bit yucky but we coped! Breakfast was also a little pricey, had to make our own eggs and bacon. For an expensive breakfast I expect it to be cooked for me at least! This want stop me from staying again as the owners are lovely!

the strangest apartments i've ever had )

by Julia S on 25 Oct 2016 (Friends Traveller)

we've spend 2 one night there and the idea was just to have place for sleep. as i were booking hotel 4 days before our arrival almost everything in the center was already booked. i've chosen this apartments (it was 225 euro per night) according to its location. first - there is main building of the hotel with really small rooms (the one i saw on the third floor had normal bed btw) and two apartments with entrance near. when we came and saw it we were quite surprised. very big apartments with ca...
