Staff was trying, but hotel is below average

by outlaws_2000 on 16 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

We accidentally first went to another Tulip hotel near by (of the same chain but much newer and more luxurious) and then when we finally went to the right hotel, we were very disappointed. Worn out carpets in the reception gave off a bad first impression. But worse, the check in at 1 am was extremely slow. We were so tired and ready to go to our room but the receptionist was taking forever. And although it was clearly marked on our reservation that we wanted a double bed, he gave us two twin b...

Just the right place in the crowded city!

by Oussama A on 24 Aug 2016 (Business Traveller)

Nothing beats the warmth of hospitality in this place, I was with my wife and two kids in a senior suit. The service from the valet to the reception to the room service and the restaurant is just great. The hotel was busy though, but the service and the team were so attentive. I need to mention Chef Charbel, and whoever visits this cozy hotel please make sure you meet this great humble man; he just made my stay especially when we meet for a coffee early in the morning. Great work guys, keep good...

After a week the service and quality fo the hotel has shown to be minimal.

A basket of breads, and scrambled eggs with foul gets a little redundant. I did see someone else with cooked breakfast, I never have seen a menu or been offered other options for breakfast. I would guess they do not expect long term guests. This would be another reason for a short stay and find another option. The loc...

Old and shabby

by Ani M on 02 Mar 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed here since the hotel we booked for our 2-month stay was fully booked the first week of our stay. This is not a 4 start hotel. It's a full 2-3 star hotel. I'm not sure how much they charge, since my company booked it for me, but I assume they charge for a 4 start because of its location. Rooms are old and shabby. No matter hot much they clean, if there are stains on the carpets and furniture that date back to pre-historic era, the cleaning will not help. This hotel needs complete reno...
