This is the first time since the nationwide lockdown imposed in March that people will not need any registration to enter Himachal Pradesh. The move is in line with unlock 4 guidelines that stated that there shall be no restriction on the inter-state movement of the general public.
However, as a safety measure, inter-state public transport continues to remain suspended, meaning that tourists can travel to the state only by private vehicles.
