A lot fancier that your typical HI Express

by KenS9 on 15 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

The hotel is right in the middle of downtown Baltimore. The lobby area is large and much fancier than your typical Holiday Inn Express. The front desk staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. All the public areas I saw were clean. Keurig coffee makers with pods in each room. Of course, there is the typical HI Express free morning breakfast. There are five floors, so the typical city noise can be heard no matter which floor you are on - but this ...

Great hotel with a few rough edges

by Robert H on 06 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

I wanted to give this hotel five stars but just couldn't do it honestly. I wish that 4.5 were a possible rating. To start with the good, our room was large, well furnished, and very clean. We had a full bath with plenty of hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was above average with plenty of choices. The location was a bit noisy, but I won't blame the hotel for this. The first problem was slow and unreliable Internet access. Just when I needed to find a restaurant for di...

Very nice hotel! And closest to Johns Hopkins.

by Richie_II on 01 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

My wife and I have stayed here 3 times in the last 3 months. Everyone on the staff has been very helpful and ALWAYS friendly. On our visit last week JR and Rixa continued to reinforce our positive experiences. We will definitely stay here again. If you are in Baltimore to go to Johns Hopkins: 1) It is (literally) a 2 minute drive to the campus. 2) The hotel has a complimentary shuttle that will take you to Hopkins along with other places in Baltimore such as the Inner Harbor. 3) Be sure to a...

The room was very neat, comfortable and had wonderful and helpful staff especially Tina and Xina. They had good breakfast too. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will be back in the future.

Great Rooms. But Service?

by ChrisRog36 on 05 Dec 2016 (Friends Traveller)

The hotel from the inside is beautiful. Not fond of the location in that it is a little dark and seedy at night. The hotel can't control that but all the same it is off putting. The rooms are extremely clean and up to date. The service. I wasn't wowed. None of the agents I came in contact with were very friendly. In fact the housekeeping staff were the ones who were polite and friendly. This is the only reason why I didn't rate the hotel a 5.
