Excellent location and price

by travelinmom12 on 17 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

Smallish Holiday Inn but has everything we needed and was the perfect location (close to subway, train station, 5th street for restaurants, BAM, MMDC and shopping. Easy for Uber to get to for pick up/drop off. Rooms are small but workable and great mattress/pillows. The front desk staff are top notch. They are friendly, helpful (printed out directions for me) and knowledgeable. We forgot a necessity - they gave us a handful. OUr only problem was with loud people in the hall the first night - but...

Notice From New York Heath Department Posted in Hotel Window-Yikes!

by SarahsBackstage on 13 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

We stayed here in October along with two other couples from my family and a baby. The staff is very friendly and polite but that doesn't make up for the food at the restaurant being condemned by the city of NY. We stayed here two nights for a wedding as it was close to the venue. That's the only reason we stayed here. The neighborhood had trash everywhere and I saw rats. It was so creepy. When you are with family, you can overlook many things. We did feel safe walking, but had to keep an eye out...

Not bad for a one night stay.

by jmoonesq on 11 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

Hotel is an average Holiday Inn. The front desk guy fromViet Nam is very friendly though. If you stay, also try Dinosaur BBQ across the street and the ice cream shop at the end of the road. Rooms were pretty big, bed was typical Holiday Inn bed that for me is a little hard. One issue was that the internet was slow and kept going in and out which was frustrating. Parking is also a little difficult. Bathroom was large, plenty of water pressure. I would likely stay here again and I have staye...

Staff was very friendly but....

by Sugarplumskys on 03 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

The hotel was not worth the $$ we paid. We reserved two rooms for five night each room. My son, his wife and two kids were in one room. My husband and I in the other room. My kids bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke, their toilet didn't flush properly and the heater wasn't working properly either. The rooms are so small it's really tough to move around. Our room was a little better designed but still very cramped. We too had heat and air issues plus the door handle was really hard to open. My ...

Christmas in New York

by TomLaCrosse on 28 Dec 2016 (Family Traveller)

Great location near subway stop. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. Our room was typical NYC size, cleaned well every day. Elevator was somewhat slow but wouldn't keep me from staying there again.
