Wait till Renovations are complete

by cybersis007 on 25 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

This hotel is under much needed major renovations. Room we stayed in was dirty with stained carpets, cracking walls, old dated furniture and a bathroom that needed a total gutting. The elevators during the day are being used by the construction crew and we waited 20 minutes for an elevator. Each time we left hotel we were aggressively approached by people asking for money at the hotel entrance at the courtyard. On top of it all it was over $300 a night, ouch!

I enjoyed the cleanliness of the room, the location and the quiet atmosphere. The hotel is under renovation so this could be a problem with the elevator if there was a crowd. When I stayed, it was quiet so there was no problem at all. I did have a problem closing the drapes in the room. While I did check the sides of the drapes, I did not find the chord that would allow me to pull the drapes shut. Not a huge deal, but I feel more comfortable with them closed. Next time, I'll check more thoro...
