Clean and comfortable bed for a cheap and cheerful stay.

Clean and comfortable bed for a cheap and cheerful stay. Staff leave you to enjoy your stay without too much interference for a hostel. Hotel was also considerably quiet, the shared bathrooms were also fine.

Good location, very basic

Very old building, rustic feel. Decent location, within walking distance from La Rambla. Very basic accommodation. The bed was not the most comfortable for me and the pillows could do with a tiny bit more filler material. The air conditioning in my room would periodically make gurgling noises which i found somewhat disruptive during the night. Overall satisfactory, good location but very basic.

Not that nice

Plus sides: The hostel had a good location. Minuses: The walls of our room were extremely dirty, the hostel staff should really consider cleaning and painting them. The room we had booked was a double room but instead we had a room with single beds. The room had a small balcony but the traffic noise was disturbing at night time. The staff was ok but not really that eager to help us with our questions. The bathroom was clean but the floor flooded badly after showering. Can not recommend this hos...

Value for money centrally located

by Jenny B on 30 Sep 2013 (Friends Traveller)

We wanted a budget place as location was the most important criteria. We were travelling with another couple and we both found our rooms basic but clean although we did have problems with the shower flooding the bathroom - small shower cubicles with curtains are always a problem. The terrace is really nice and one evening we bought some picnic supplies and wine and the hotel provided us with a few basic utensils including a corkscrew. Carlos the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful...

One of the worst experiences of my life in a hostel. Simply a horrible room. In the description of the site my boyfriend and i had read about a spacious room, high ceilings. The room costs 60 euro per night, just arrived they made us sit in what seemed to us a closet. The room was stuffy and very dark, only one light was working,The fan does not work, the bathroom was dingy and smelly and the only window on the outside but did not give a small inner courtyard of 2mx2m. The room was not worth the...
