Very clean and lot's of space
by Giorgos V on 03 Nov 2016 (Friends Traveller)
We stayed at the hostel for 5 days. It was really nice, with the big room and every day they cleaned it. Also we had clean towels every day and shampoos and soaps. It is close enough to the city center and in a nice neiberhood. I really liked the fact that it had a small balcony with the view on the slated streat. The price was very logical and so I recomend it easilly.
Ideally located, logistically easy. Basic, clean and friendly

Tucked away in the liberal, intimate, vibrant area of Chueca, a warm, friendly welcome awaits you. I had a small cosy, clean room, with an excellent shower NB - No tea/coffee facilities in room. Host does not provide breakfast. 2 minutes from Noviciado metro (Calle San Bernardo) and 30 minutes (by metro) from aeropuerto T1,2,3. Calle Gran Via is a 5 minute walk away. The close proximity of the Noviciado metro (€1.50 for a single trip or €15 for 10) makes getting around Madrid rather easy If you...
Great location, very clean, and affordable
by Kyle K on 22 Nov 2015 (Couple Traveller)
Hostal del Pez Azul was an easy walk from most of the main attractions in the city. The room was very spacious and clean for our 2 nights. We did not have any issues at all with the Hostal as internet was provided and the owners were very accommodating. We would highly recommend if you are wanting to be close to the center with a good price!
Great Value, Great Manager
by smithandchips on 07 Jun 2015 (Family Traveller)
I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice the rooms were for the cost. We only stayed one night and were surprised that the room had air conditioning and a refrigerator. There were three of us travelling together which can be hard to find accommodation. The location was within walking distance of Plaza de Espana. We arrived after midnight at the hotel and the manager was very accommodating. She even waited to take our information until the following morning so we could go straight to sleep. I ...
Small and old-fashioned
by Montrealista on 21 Apr 2014 (Friends Traveller)
This was the tiniest room I've ever stayed in, decorated with the most improbable taste: an unfortunate mix of Japanese, Egyptian and old France, with all sorts of colors and textures. The bed was hard, and narrower than the usual double beds you find in hotels. In the bathroom, I had to step over the toilet to reach the shower. The Internet didn't work. It costs 1 euro every time you lock the safe. The location is very good though, central and in a trendy area with lovely boutiques and cafés.
