Great Hostel in El Calafate

by JKeller31 on 10 Dec 2016 (Solo Traveller)

Spent only one night here after heading back from Chalten and was flying to Ushuaia the following morning however this hostel seemed great. The owner was really friendly and we got into a discussion because he had lived in Spain and I had gone there for a holiday a number of years ago. The dorm rooms are nice with big beds, the bathrooms are all clean and well maintained with good hot water in the showers. Also the common kitchen is big and has everything you could need. A great hostel thats a l...

El Calafate's best hostel!

by Anne_V89 on 05 Nov 2016 (Solo Traveller)

I had a wonderful stay here, it's everything you're looking for - friendly host, great location (2 blocks from the terminal) very clean, spacious rooms (I stayed in the 8 bed dorm), 2 immaculate kitchens, hot showers and a nice communal room to relax. Great atmosphere and great value for money, really felt like home. Look no further!

very clean place, friendly host - a good stay

by LaMoucheQ on 05 Feb 2016 (Friends Traveller)

we came into town very late, and found a very affordable night in a double room. the walls are thin but the room was clean - so was the bathroom and showers (2 complete bathrooms / 6 rooms), very satisfied! using the kitchen was no problem and the NEW SPANISH HOST (overtaking the place in April 2015) is very friendly, joined for a chat and explained that he is motivated to keepnthe place up and make it better than the old host did. A fair stay if you seek a clean hostel in town. Wifi is up and ...

Great first time hostel experience

by Ross W on 27 Jan 2016 (Solo Traveller)

Not used a hostel since I was a teenager so didn't know what to expect. I had a 2 bed room for 1 person and good free wifi. The room was clean and neat, likewise the shared bathrooms, and kitchen facilities (though I didn't take the hosteling experience as far as making my own food!) The owner Facundo could not have been more welcoming and helpful, either with tourist advice, lending a electrical conversion plug and even phoned to my next hostel to make sure the reservation was ok. The hostel ...

Great Hostel. Convenient, Clean, and Friendly

by bonnie c on 25 Jan 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed at Hostel Buenos Aires twice on this trip. The owner, Facundo, stays on the premises. He bought this property last April and keeps improving the quality of the hostel. It is the only hostel we stayed at that has TV with the CNN English channel. He has a large, fast computer in the lobby for guests to use. He does not serve breakfast but he has simple food items for guests to use for free in the morning. The facility has two kitchens for guests to use. The hostal is always keep ...
