one night stay in this charming hotel about 7km from the centre of Bouillon. We had a very warm welcome and Chrissy was very friendly. The room was a bit cosy but more than sufficient for one night - very clean and with all amenities. Breakfast was a great spread of pastries, breads, cheese, cold meats and fruits as well as some delicious home made jam. We would definitely stay again.
Ardennes style little cosy hotel
by MuensterMonster on 18 Oct 2015 (Couple Traveller)
Ardennes style little cosy hotel with breakfast buffet located 8km south-east of Bouillon. International flair as hosts have travelled around the world. Backward room to the garden had good beds, was quiet and had a nice garden view. 3-course supper might be ordered in advance, very good quality. On departure day we had to leave around 7.30 am (announced the day before), no breakfast could be served, not even a reduced one.

Stayed here with small group of friends (3 mature couples)mid june on first night of our 2 week motorbike tour of europe. Very friendy owner (for 22 years) who is english and speaks many other languages fluently. Bikes locked in large garage for 5 euros each. Rooms were large, beds comfy, nice clean bathroom. Hotel next to road but at night there was no traffic so slept well. We had a set meal for an additional cost ( very reasonable at about 15 euros) which was superb. Local produce and 3 cou...
Belgiums best kept secret
by Lynne S on 14 Jun 2015 (Couple Traveller)
We have stayed with Chrissy and Bart on many occasions and we are never disappointed..Bart is a fantastic chef and the food here is some of the best we've have had anywhere. Fantastic range of Belgium beers and good wines to choose from Chrissy is a fab hostess and welcomes everyone with open arms and a smile. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. This place has so much to offer as its placed in such a beautiful part of Belgium. It really is like home from home.

Our 4th visit in a year and second in the last month so this must indicate the esteem we hold du Cerf. A contentious view in the past has been the best food in the world is French and the best French food is in Belgium - a new spin on this is maybe the best food in the world is Belgian and the best Belgian food is at du Cerf. Bart's creative cuisine plays with the foodie, an absolute delight whether game, fish or meat - all with specially prepared vegetables. Then.... Chrissies wonderful attenti...
