Cheap food, friendly staff and guests - but poor English.
by 233roars on 04 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)
The hotel is fine in many ways. But for us, that do not know Spanish, it was hard to communicate with the staff. The areas at ground floor is very noisy, due to stone floor and walls with almost no carpets of other kind of absorbing materials. The food was poor, but cheap - thus in total OK. Quite a bit to walk to get somewhere interesting, thus sneakers are mandatory.

i usually use tripadvisor before booking, but as i was struggling to find a cheap break at the advertised price - i just said i will take it. bad move. homework homework homework read the other reviews from other guests and they are pretty accurate to be honest. hotel is an average hotel if it was more central, but its not.i guess its 2 miles from the cable ski area, and 10 or 15 minutes where the beaches meet. its in a residential area on a hill - im 50+ and had enough of the walking, if older ...
Not for British families

While the hotel is OK, and food average - it is certainly not a hotel aimed at families. In the evenings it's like the walking dead on the dance floor with pensioners everywhere with whom we argued with as they didn't like our children enjoying themselves near them. They seemed to think children should be kept tied up in a corner out of their way. The staff are friendly, but their English is VERY poor, so you can't ask for anything or complain about anything. It took me about 15 minutes just ask...
Very Basic you will get what you pay for and beware of being given a first floor apartment

I booked a cheap long weekend getaway with my friend. We knew we were in the old town area Benidorm on the Poniente side, but that didn't really bother us. However we did worry before we went with the bad reviews on here. In a nutshell though, and trying to be fair and realistic this is what we thought. When you get dropped off at the hotel with your transfer, don't follow the sign that points uphill to the hotel, it is a very long road up a steep hill and if you arrive at 1.30am like we di...
Its on the residential back streets
by Pamela B on 02 Dec 2016 (Solo Traveller)
I am a single traveler, Booked hotel through travel agent and booked my own transfers, But not in location I expected. Got dropped off at a supermarket, was told to go down to 2nd street, walk up til I see steps, take the steps - then you need to go right at the top and hotel is 50m up opposite derelict site and buildings. If you take the road that is sign-posted for hotel be prepared for a long hike and that you are fit! The Hotel accommodates Spanish older people with Spanish ballroom each ...
