Plain Hotel

by MurTheExplorer on 04 Oct 2016 (Friends Traveller)

It is just an ordinary hotel. That said it is adequate and very clean. The maintance is excellent. We had a room that to me stepped out of the 1950's. I think it was family room, with separate bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with twin beds. If you are interested in a trip across southern Bolivia see our not for profit blog havecarryonwilltravel.com. The doors of the bedrooms led to a common foyer which in turn is access to a common washroom. The rooms are located around a three story cov...

Good basic hotel

by PamAlbury on 12 Jul 2016 (Friends Traveller)

No complaints. No frills. Good accommodation. In fact, as two singles we had a bonus of 2 bedrooms so that was nice. It is an uphill walk from here to the main square (about 20 minutes depending on how well you walk given the altitude) - and quite a walk. Afterall, this is now over 4000 m in altitude. You can take a local bus if you want. Service was pleasant. Brekky was so-so.

Good value for the price

Family run hotel in walking distance from the railway station; taxi to the centre less than US$1. Courtyard type - typical for smaller hotels in South America - with all advantages and disadvantages. Good heating, good beds, hot water; safe not working. Large regional clientele, simple but correct breakfast.

Good choice for a few days.

We stayed 2 nights in Hotel Cima Argentum. We had planned to stay only one night but because of road blocks we had to stay a extra night. The staff was very helpful getting us the information needed to travel on and both persons spoke English. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious. It had also a sitting area with a mini fridge, love seat, coffee table, table and chairs. WiFi was available but was unstable in our room. We also had a room safe. The room was clean although a little dated...

A bit tired and gloomy

by Alan C on 23 Jan 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed here for one night on the way to Uyuni. The hotel is not up to much, a large place around a courtyard. The downstairs room 1 was gloomy and stuffy and although clean was very tired and worn. The walk into town is not too steep but given the altitude is plenty steep enough. We didnt find the staff particularly helpful and nobody spoke English but we did manage to get moved to an upstairs room with a street view.
