This charming period style hotel really had everything you would want. The location is in the lovely mostly residential Recolata area. The hotel staff are amazing in helping with whatever you request from recommendation for sight seeing to early boxed breakfast! The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. I look forward to returning.

3 nights of R&R!

This was our first trip to south america and buenos aires and this hotel played the role of a very warm host ! Their english speaking staff will make you feel very welcome and attend to all your questions. Our room overlooked the street and was clean and comfortable.their location is a few blocks from recoleta landmarks - cemetary, recoleta mall. Within one mile (30 min walk) you have lots of restaurants and this being a posh neighbourhood with Hyatt, Four seasons at higher price range , you are...

Ideal small clubby luxury hotel in best location.

by Josephine E on 15 Dec 2016 (Family Traveller)

We really loved this hotel, which feels rather more like a Club (natural, given its past and present as the French Club of BA) or family hotel. We were a large party in Buenos Aires for the Argentine Polo Open and the reservations, desk and service staff just could not have been more helpful. Because it is quite a small hotel, guests get to know the staff and vice versa. None of us has much Spanish so the help of the reception staff with advice, reservations and communications was invaluable....

Why stay in an impersonal chain hotel when a classic-but-modern classic like HCF is available -- especially in this location in the Recoleta. We spent a happy week there in December 2016 constantly going in and out. In less than a day, everyone knew us and happily helped us with Argentine hospitality given a French touch. (The hotel started as a stopping point of Parisians visiting Argentina.) Today, the restaurant, especially, offers French conviviality and the entire unit has the pace and char...

Great Service in a good location - recommended

by Waihua on 06 Dec 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We decided to stay here for our last night having stayed on the other side of central Buenos Aires when we first arrived. The location is excellent but it is quite a walk if this is the only place you are staying and want to access the subway or public transport. It is right on the fringe of all of the sites of Recoleta which is the upmarket part of the city and very quiet. When we first arrived, although we had specifically ordered 2 beds they gave us a double room which was annoying but quick...
