A great value and welcoming hotel

by murphy223 on 08 Jan 2017 (Friends Traveller)

We stayed at Hotel de Westertoren for 3 nights. The hotel is great value for money and has some really helpful employees. Upon arrival we were greeted by one of the staff and gave us the key to the room. We had room 10 which was on the top floor and we were surprised to see that it had a balcony, tea/coffee facilities and a shower too. In addition, the room and shared bathroom were both very clean. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was good and comprised of three slices of bread,...

Stayed here when visiting Amsterdam for a few days and this hotel is like faulty towers was expecting basil faulty to appear any minute and breakfast is appalling ended up having to go out for breakfast the only good thing was the bed was clean and comfy it's far to noisy with it being on a Main Street and no double glazing and walls are paper thin between the rooms and people in next room went on ridiculous and there is lots of very steep stairs up to hotel reception and then up stairs again to...

Great location but that's it

by undefined on 04 Nov 2016 (Friends Traveller)

Thankfully we only stayed one night before going to another hotel. Pros: Fantastic location for exploring Amsterdam, nice restaurants nearby also bike rental and right in the canals. They also allowed us to check-in 3hrs early as room was already available. Nice comfy beds and decent shower. We had 3 people in a room with 4 singles beds, basic like tea/coffee/fridge/shower gel provided. Cons: Like lots of hotels they're above the shops so no elevator just a 2 story hike up VERY steep stairs, l...

Clean and Great Location

by Dini_dps on 15 Oct 2016 (Couple Traveller)

Our room in third floor has a small balcony with a city view. The room is quite small with a shower, also basin inside the room, and shared toilet just next to our room that give us easy access. They also has hair dryer on the wall and small refrigerator. The room is clean and they make up the room everyday. Please expect to climb the steep stairs which will difficult if you bring a lot of luggage, I lucky enough to only climbed up with 17Kg of luggage (12 kg suitcase and 5 kg backpack) Lol....
