No frills Lichterfelde West
by JeepneyJu on 27 Mar 2016 (Solo Traveller)
The hotel Mulino on Adolf Martens straße is not such a bad place as the reviews hitherto would have you believe. It's true to say that while it doesn't have the ambience or grandeur of a conventional establishment it nevertheless manages to be reasonably accommodating. I visited during off peak for 4 days in the middle of March and if you look at my reviews you will see a fair amount of travel experience around Europe and south East Asia. Anyway so first impressions: slightly foreboding there's...
Nite and minimal
by knygl on 14 Sep 2015 (Couple Traveller)
The Hotel has nice room but minimal - walls surrounding the bed :-) No reception, and if you arrive after 19:00 you better have the phone # to call for someone to open. No lobby, but WiFi is OK. Very good shower ;-) Breakfast is included for the sum of 5.75EUR and includes: Hard build egg, a roll, 3 kinds of sausage, & cornflakes... For the same price you better go out to the train station, and have a real breakfast. The cost is high for this hotel and services...
The truly italian restaurant but not a very good hotel to stay.
by inesteixeiraalves on 28 May 2015 (Business Traveller)
The hotel staff was very good and the breakfast really nice. Although the place needs a renovation and better cleaning. My room smelled like it was a smoking room (but is was not, not then at least, there were signs of 'non smoking') and there were dust everywhere. I have asthma and I've felt really bad at night. The wifi was very good and near to the metro station! About the restaurant, this is a well known restaurant in the area, will an italian family running it. I've felt like was was in I...
Don't rely on this hotel - Berlin has much better hotels for the money.
by Pi3141528970 on 16 Mar 2011 (Business Traveller)
This hotel is under terrible management. It is a modest neighborhood hotel which has had a decent reputation for a long time. Descriptions of it on travel websites and on the hotel's website made it seem ideal for my travel needs. I prefer no-frills family run hotels rather than luxury chains. I also liked that it advertised itself as no-smoking. I communicated with the manager by email to confirm my arrival date and time. After an overnight flight and bus/train trip in from the airport I found...
Il Mulino ist kein Hotel...
by JPD_Berlin on 25 Jan 2013
