A Quaint Hotel

by Bronwynne K on 24 Apr 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We arrived in Bariloche at 10.30 pm famished from our Lakes tour, to find that the dining room was closed and no food was available. Staff were cordial and very helpful. Our room was small & bathroom tiny, but the room itself was fairly comfortable. It was by no means a four star hotel but it was very clean, quiet and a good rest was had. At breakfast there were minimal choices but all was fresh and a good start to the day. The hotel was located in the middle of town, so everything was close a...

That was a fun stay

by Ismael2004 on 09 May 2013 (Solo Traveller)

Stayed for one night on a Saturday at the Nevada Hotel. The room was really nice and well equipped. Also fairly inexpensive. The Hotel has a 24/7 restaurant, where I had dinner and really liked. There is also a casino and coming from Las Vegas, the slots and videopoker-machines were ridiculous loose. Therefore I had a great time at this hotel and would always stay there again. It is actually worth driving to, since Ely has quite a bit to offer.

For people who do not want to sleep at night

by Lori O on 14 Jan 2013 (Family Traveller)

We arrived in Bariloche without a reservation and this was one of the only hotels with a vacancy during the Christmas season. I was told it had been recently renovated, but I think only the lobby had been renovated. The room was very dated and small and the beds were worn out. The wifi did not work. The breakfast was disappointing. Worst of all there is no ventilation so we were forced to open the windows to cool off the room. A crowd of people were hanging out across the street and seemed...

Better off staying somewhere else...no more than 2 star

by jestie on 22 Apr 2012 (Family Traveller)

My golden rule is that I always book my own accommodation. This time, unfortunately, my travel agent booked Hotel Nevada as part of lakes crossing package. It was an awful place to stay. While the reception area appears in good nick, the rest of the hotel is incredibly dated. I assumed 1970s from the decor, but the date on the front of the building says 1990s. Our room facing the street on the first floor was so noisy - from street noise, from the reception area and from next door (even got to h...

Grubby worn out where you couldn't even swing a cat!

by Mamania on 09 Apr 2012

Very disappointing. Bedroom so tiny you couldn't even swing a cat in it. The bathroom was so grubby we didn't even dare to take a bath or shower. The only plus was the clean bed sheets. There was no free wifi anywhere not even in the reception as claimed. The gym was out of action! The breakfast was fine and at 7am the scrambled eggs fresh. On leaving one of our group was charged for a bar bill even though he hadn't been near the place and his signature forged! Do not choose this hotel even thou...
