Hotel Surya , mangalore

It is pretty nice hotel considering the given pricing. Rooms are very spacious and the service is prompt. It is situated near to the market place, also you can find many restaurant in the vicinity. I went during the Jan season, so i opted for non-ac rooms which i was very happy with.

Surya Hotel is on the Balmatta Road, far away from the sea beach. So if you are looking to stay near the sea, this is not for you. We had stayed in this hotel as a family for 2 nights during Dussera and the experience was good. They accommodated our early check-in request with a caveat of early check-out, which worked for us. Reasonable price at prime area and rooms are clean. Staff are friendly and commercial place are very nearby to the hotel. You can find a Mall nearby and the railway station is walkable. I didn't find any hotels or restaurant nearby.

A decent staying option, for budget travelers. We had a 3 bed AC room, that was worth its price. The bedding seemed new, linens clean, a functional TV with a good DTH connection. The AC functioned very well through out. The Bathroom was ok. Could have been better. Location is a big plus, being close to the mangalore railway station, and the market.

On 21 st March we stayed at Hotel Surya in Mangalore. It was good. Staff were courteous. It had room service for food. Nearby there are good vegetarian eateries. The railway station is 5 km away. We stayed for a few hours, and enjoyed it.
