A little far from shinjuku station but deep in the heart of kabukicho

by WanderlustJournal on 26 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

This hotel was quite comfortable, very clean, and one of the few affordable hotels within the shinjuku area. It is however, very deep within kabukicho, so if you take a wrong turn at night, yep, you'll be smack in the middle of their infamous red light district. It is still safe to walk through, but you'll get a very different vibe walking through those areas, very eye opening indeed. Other than that, the hotel is easy to find, just a bit of a long walk from shinjuku station. You'll pass a cin...

Perfect for exploring Shinjuku

by Mormondi on 24 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

This is a fairly fuss free hotel. The rooms are tiny (well, it's Tokyo, did you expect a mansion for this price?), but clean and the bed is REALLY comfortable. Very functional place and right in the middle of Shinjuku's madness. 3-4 train stations are close by and you can access pretty much any part from Tokyo from one of them. Oh yeah, most importantly, the wifi is fast and always worked.

Not acceptable

by Kenji0710 on 09 Jan 2017 (Friends Traveller)

Chose this hotel as we found it to be one of the few reasonably priced hotels within Shinjuku and being available from New year's eve. During check in, we realised we made a huge mistake. The location is very near the red light district and right opposite the lobby, there is a club or bar is called 'gang bang'. Room is really too small, even by Japan standards. We had 3 rooms, 704, 705 and one more. We went to all 3 to review one anothers' room and the conclusion was uanimous. We will not retu...

Foreigners should know

by Christopher P on 07 Jan 2017 (Solo Traveller)

If you're one of those people thinking "my room was tiny, too small" Read this: You guys need to stop freaking complaining how small these rooms are. That's just the way these hotels are. Some hotels might offer a bigger room but i'm almost certain half the people here have very high expectation for the amount you want to pay. If you're looking for a spacious room, why don't you go find yourselves at a 5 star hotel. But I'm guessing you don't want to do that because you don't want to pay that mu...

Rooms are Tiny!

by JukeGuy on 14 Dec 2016 (Couple Traveller)

The double room and bathroom we had was just too tiny. I've never been in a hotel room that didn't even have a closet. So you basically have to live out of your suitcases, and there's barely enough place to keep two of those in your room. The bathroom as well was tiny - like on a small boat. Maybe thats why the hotel's called ..Cabin..! I guess as a budget hotel one can't expect large rooms, but a) it wasn't that cheap at about $130 for just the room per night, and b) this room was the complete ...
