Ever since its inception, the metro has taken the city by storm. These air conditioned trains are cheap, comfortable, fast and have been a boon to the inter city connectivity which makes it a hit among masses. You miss a train, you get a train in the next two minutes, it’s that cool

Presently, the metro network connects many of the important parts of Delhi through its different lines, namely Red, Green, Violet, Yellow, Blue, and the Airport Express. Further construction is being carried out on a war footing to extend the network.

The important areas connected by the metro include Connaught Place, Hauz Khas, Central Secretariat, Kashmere Gate, Jahangirpuri, Dilshad Garden, Rithala, Noida, Dwarka, and Gurgaon.  The fare for normal routes ranges from INR 8 to INR 30 while the fare for the metro that runs on the Airport route ranges from INR 80-100 depending on the distance.
