Even before you reach Hyderabad, the very idea of a vacation in Hyderabad seems to bring luck to your journey. What can be more convenient than the presence of an international airport to welcome tourist to the aroma of biryanis and the glitter of pearls. Apart from these, the city is well-connected to other Indian cities by both trains and buses. So, travelling to Hyderabad is not a difficult thing after all. Start booking!

  • By Air

If your idea is to save as much time as possible on the journey and spend it, instead, on the destination itself, then flying to the city will be your best option.
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport  is just 22 km from the city and caters to flights by Air India, British Airways, Emirates, Malaysia Airlines, Oman Air, Qatar Airways, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Silk Air, Etihad Airways and Thai Airways. For domestic operations, Air India, Air India Express, Indian Airlines, Indigo Airlines, Jet Airways, JetLite, Kingfisher Airlines and SpiceJet offers their service to and fro from this airport. Once you arrive at the airport, you can avail Aero Express, the airport bus service with a charge of INR 120 to INR 180. Alternatively, you can hire a cab to your place of stay.
  • By Train

The great Indian Railways shows its strength in Hyderabad with its connection to all major places of India. Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Kachiguda are the three major stations while Begumpet is a minor one. Take the railway route and go to Hyderabad, heralding your visit with the whistle of the train!
  • By Road

Travelling by road always has a charm of its own, from the roadside tea stalls to the never-been-trodden- grass on the sidewalk- heaps of experiences hiding everywhere. Take the road to the city from any of the major Indian cities and collect these experiences. If you are coming from Bangalore, which is at a distance of 560 km, take NH7 or NH9 and NH5, if your are coming from Chennai, which is 752 km. From Mumbai, the city is 800 km far and can be reached by taking NH9 till Pune and Mumbai Expressway after it. Buses are also a convenient option as the MGBS or Imliban, believed to be world’s largest bus station, is located in the city. APSRTC has pickup and drop points from various points in the city as well as A/C coaches ply from other nearby cities. Apart from these, private luxury buses are also available. But most of these bus services are concentrated in South India only.

Be it sightseeing from above with the blue sky and cotton clouds for company, chugging through the remote parts of the country in a train or finding destinations in every step of their journey, the journey to the ‘city of pearls’ is open to all. Start exploring!
