How is the nightlife in Bali?

0 people found this answer useful Useful ?Yes

Whether it is late night revelry, high life and thump and pump you are looking for or some good old clubbing involving live bands, wine, cocktails and tapa, Bali’s nightlife comes in all varieties. Island nightlife begins, well, at night, but late, especially on weekends. Spend the day sightseeing and lounging on the beach, and then the night is yours. Kuta is for the party animals with its multitude of bars and clubs and the party begins well into the night and carries on till the dawn of the next day. Cheap bars, infamous watering holes, bars pulsating with DJ music, live drag shows, themed parties, fashion shows, masquerade balls, sports bars-you name it and Kuta has it all. Seminyak is another happening place for some late night clubbing though at a decibel lower than that of Kuta. Here you are more likely to rub elbows with older clubbers, European expats, wealthy tourists, in for some low key fun and revelry.

Ubud, with its growing night scene, is slowly becoming one of Bali’s hotspots. A nightlife that is more sober than pulsating, you can catch some of the best jazz bands performances out here, especially at the Jazz cafe, and if you are lucky you might even get to see the incredible blend of modern jazz and gamelan (traditional musical ensemble of Indonesia). For viewing some of the most incredible and unique cultural performance, Ubud is the place to be. The surrounding villages frequently put up dance, music and shadow-puppet performances as much for your entertainment as for theirs. Many hotels also do evening shows of these performances and you can enquire with your hotel.

Alight with the rosy glow cast upon it by the last of the sun’s rays making their way through the clouds and mist hanging heavy over the sea, Sanur is hauntingly magical at night with the gamelan music reverberating across the atmosphere. Most the restaurants and hotels out here feature Balinese dance performances of varied forms and style that are a must watch to complete your experience of Bali.

Kuta

M-Bar-Go

One of the more swanky nightclubs of Kuta, here the well-heeled retuclientele rubs shoulders with the area natives and is composed more of expats. Booming music welcomes you and you are greeted with steady stream of variety of drinks and cocktails. Need a breather from the dancing? Catch your breath on the long bars and comfortable sofas punctuating the dance floor at various points and take a cool long swig of your favorite cocktail.
